Woven Mesh

The construction of our plastic mesh is defined by the type of yarn, yarn size, and thread count. Monofilament yarns, which consist of single continuous filaments, result in a smooth surface. In plain weave constructions, the monofilament fabrics provide minimal flow restriction and effective surface loading of particles.

Thread count refers to the number of threads per inch. Warp threads run lengthwise, while weft or filling threads run across the width at right angles to the warp. Our monofilament fabrics, produced with equal yarn diameters and equal thread counts in both directions, feature square mesh openings.

Note: These high-quality woven plastic meshes are typically shipped in roll form wound on cores to prevent creases. Note that occasional flaws, inherent in the weaving process, may affect the continuous roll length. Excessive handling can increase static, leading to the entrapment of random particles. The yarns used in these products are FDA approvable and produced from virgin raw materials suitable for food contact.
