PTFE Netting
Polytetrafluoroethylene Plastic Mesh
PTFE mesh is used in elevated temperatures or highly caustic environments. It is chemically resistant and self-lubricating. PTFE is also inherently UV stable where UV radiation passes straight through causing no interactions.
- Non toxic
- Low-friction
- High anti-adhesiveness
- High dielectric properties
- Suitable for continuous use from -100°C up to 260°C (500°F)

PTFE Plastic Mesh is created using a unique slitting process. Polytetrafluoroethylene films are extruded to exact thickness specifications. Those films are slit, then stretched or expanded to create these unique plastic net meshes. The range of openings and strand configurations are determined by the combination of film thicknesses and slit sizes.
Slitting and expansion is controlled to provide nominal thicknesses and apertures. Some variation in width dimensions of PTFE meshes is inherent to this expansion process. As a result, most customers prefer to receive finished parts sheeted or die-cut to their custom dimensions as part of our order fulfillment services. PTFE mesh is also available in master roll form in the sizes listed above.
PTFE products are stabilized to control open area percentages.
As product thickness increases so does the likelihood of shrinkage in applications where temperatures are elevated.
